ICE 2023 in Sapporo, Japan

The 2023 International Congress on Electrocardiology took place in Sapporo, Japan, from July 6 to 8. Organized by Professor Takanori Ikeda, of Toho University in Tokyo, it was held simultaneously with the 69th meeting of the Japanese Heart Rhythm Society (JHRS 2023).

This year's Young Investigator Competition was won by Dr Taro Tenma (天満 太郎, sometimes transliterated as Temma) of Hokkaido University in Japan, for his presentation T-peak to T-end interval to corrected QT interval ratio as an evaluator of ventricular sympathoexcitation. The jury, composed of ISHNE BOT and ICE council members, was presided by Professors Takanori Ikeda and Bülent Görenek.

At this meeting Prof. Pyotr Platanov succeeded Prof. Bülent Görenek as president of the ISE, and Dr Emanuela T. Locati was chosen as president-elect. Dr. Sharen Lee from Hong Kong was elected to join the ISE Council.
